Ombudsman for postdoc

John Steen is the name of the ombudsman for stipend/ scholarship funded postdoc (not employed Postdoc). You can contact him if you run into problems or want information during your postdoc period at KI. He works under complete confidentiality, unless explicitly told otherwise by the postdoc that seeks advice.

The ombudsman's tasks are:

To provide objective and independent information about, financing, health insurance, parental leave and unemployment benefits etc. 
The Ombudsman can assist and support the postdoc and act as a personal representative for him/her in conflict with their department. This may be direct conflicts regarding insufficient advising, failing of financing in spite of promises, the supervisor or conflicts regarding copyright and authorship etc. The ombudsman can also give advice and help in resolving problems, even if there is no severe conflict.
